In partnership with UNI Counseling Services, UNI Student Disability Services, and UNI Wellness Center we will be sponsoring the Second Annual Statewide PTSD Awareness Conference.

The conference will cover issues and concerns related to PTSD that stem from military service, sexual assaults, addictions, and other traumas. Presentations encompass subjects such as mental, emotional, and academic support for those suffering from PTSD and therapeutic interventions such as art, music, service dogs, and forgiveness.  The conference will include an open panel discussion on how PTSD affects people during their day-to-day life, college, and professional careers.

Created to raise awareness to a hidden disorder, the conference provides an opportunity to support continuing education to professionals and the general community alike.

This conference will serve as a way for students to learn strategies for overcoming their PTSD as well as a conduit for college and university administrations to better serve their students who have been affected by PTSD.
